After originally releasing the company's T1M ceiling light in China last summer, the company is announcing that the T1M is now available to international consumers. This smart lamp features a white main light, with a full color gradient ring for everyday use and respectful accent lighting. The T1M ceiling lamp is available in Aqara's Amazon brand stores in North America (USA, Canada) and Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, UK), as well as through select Aqara retailers worldwide. The T1M is suitable for rooms from 5 to 20 square meters (approximately 54 to 215 square meters). It offers a spectrum ranging from warm to cool white (2700-6500K) to 16 million colors for the ring light. The independently addressable RGB ring enables integration into smart home experiences, allowing visual notifications of changes in home status, such as doorbell sounds or security system activations. For hearing impaired individuals, it can be combined with smart security alarm systems to add customized visual alerts, increasing safety and convenience. The T1M ceiling lamp, like other Aqara Zigbee devices, supports Matter and major platforms such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home via a compatible Aqara hub. This broad compatibility makes it a bit more of a future-proof addition to your home. The lamp has low idle power consumption thanks to the energy-efficient Zigbee protocol and acts as a repeater for your Zigbee network, increasing network range and responsiveness. Zigbee also ensures that local automation remains functional even if the connection to the internet is lost. The T1M features a color rendering index (Ra) of 90 for more accurate white light and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure a lifespan of 50,000 hours. Building on the success of the LED Strip T1 (review here, video here), the T1M ceiling light is the latest addition to Aqara's smart lighting portfolio, and complements the company's smart home categories. The T1M can be integrated with other Aqara devices, so that it can be linked, for example, to occupancy or motion sensors for automatic lighting or to reduce energy consumption. Furthermore, when combined with an Aqara light switch with wireless switching mode, users can control the light in a traditional way, while retaining the smart functions of the ceiling lamp.
