Belkin announces the Smart Water Assistant with Apple Homekit integration

Belkin to Release HomeKit Enabled Smart Water Assistant – Homekit News and Reviews

Belkin is set to release the HomeKit-compatible Phyn Smart Water Assistant. If you’re not sure what this is, last year the firm (which also owns the intelligent product line from WeMo) published a product called the Phyn Plus System that can detect water use, which appliances were using water at any moment, and could detect the occurrence of frozen tubes or leaks, and notify you accordingly.

The present’ System’ is comparatively costly, however, as first reported by Ubergizmo.com, and needs a skilled plumber to suit the system. Not only is the cost down from about $850 to just $299 with the fresh variant, it can be equipped on your own.

While this new device can’t effectively prevent leaks when they happen, you will receive notifications of present and pending problems, so it will constantly evaluate the stress of your tubes and learn how to use your water, and even recognize particular equipment when using water because of their distinctive’ signatures.’

Belkin claims the Phyn Smart Assistant will be published late September and, in relation to IFTTT, will be compatible with all three major smart home technologies.
