Does the Sonos Move have a built-in battery?

Sonos Move has a 36WH rechargeable lithium-ion battery inside, which can power the speaker without being connected. Combined with IP56 weather resistance, wireless connectivity and premium sound, Sonos Move offers a ton of flexibility.

Sonos Move is also the only speaker in the line that also offers Bluetooth support. This means that everyone can join in the fun, sharing their favorite songs without a complicated pairing process.

Of course, Sonos Move also works with Wi-Fi, so if you use it around your house, you can just grab it and go. If you have multiple Sonos speakers in the house, you can keep the songs as you go from room to room. In addition, it works with Apple's AirPlay 2, allowing it to work with speakers from other manufacturers.

How long will the speaker take before it is recharged?

Sonos Move can play music up to 10 hours before it is recharged. However, there are a number of factors that can affect battery life, including volume levels, ambient temperature, and the method you use to transmit music to the speaker. When not in use and not charging, Sonos Move will take approximately 120 hours of standby time.

Charging Sonos Move is simple thanks to an included charging base, which allows you to set it up without having to use a cable. A set of contacts on the base provides juice when properly aligned and is easily released for portable use. Additional charging bases can be purchased if you want the ultimate in comfort.
