Priced at $34.95, the TUO Smart Button is a simple accessory that allows you to easily control your home automation with a single touch. It is the first Smart Button certified for Matter and supports Thread.

If you have an Apple Matter hub like the HomePod 2, HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K, you can integrate the TUO Smart Button into your HomeKit setup. Thread provides improved connectivity and interaction with other Thread-compatible products when you have a Thread border router. The HomePod 2, HomePod mini, and Apple TV 4K (latest $149 model) in the HomeKit ecosystem support border router support, along with many other HomeKit devices.

The TUO Smart Button features a sleek and simple design that can be placed anywhere in your home. It comes with a magnetic wall plate and a set of stickers to indicate the button's functions. Despite its compact size of approximately one and a half centimeters, the button supports three gestures: single press, double press, and long press. This means you can activate three separate actions or automations with the TUO Smart Button.

According to TUO, the button can even be used as an "unofficial" doorbell that plays a sound on a connected smart speaker. With its three-button options, the TUO Smart Button offers great flexibility for automations in HomeKit, such as turning off all the lights in a room at once.

The top portion of the TUO can be easily pressed down, making it effortless to activate your automations despite the device's small size. The Smart Button uses a CR2032 battery that lasts approximately one year, depending on usage. It can connect to your HomeKit setup via Bluetooth in addition to Thread. If you don't have HomeKit or use multiple smart home platforms, the Smart Button also works with other Matter-supported systems.
