Eve introduces three innovative smart home devices, including the Matter Light Switch

Cupertino, January 5, 2024

Popular smart home vendor Eve has today unveiled three new smart home products for 2024, including a Matter version of its popular Eve Light Switch.

New for 2024 is the Eve Smart Energy Outlet, which connects to your smart home via Thread and features two receptacles for your plugs that can be switched on and off and automated individually. It also features advanced energy use monitoring to help you understand and control your energy monitoring, keeping those bills down. Priced at $49.95, the Eve Energy Outlet will be available from February 6. Eve already makes our pick for the best smart plugs for HomeKit, and this outlet is its first in-wall offering in the field.

Eve also currently offers one of the best HomeKit light switches you can buy, and that's getting an update that brings Matter support to the product. This means it will work with other smart home bases from Amazon and Google and will be interoperable with smart home gadgets that don't support HomeKit, but do support the broader Matter standard. This too is coming on February 6 and is also priced at $49.95.

Finally, Eve has a new Blinds collection of made-to-measure blinds featuring Eve's MotionBlinds technology and its own Adaptive Shading function, which will open and close your blinds according to the position of the sun. These will be available to order exclusively from the Eve Store in Germany and the US starting February 1.
