Eve releases affordable HomeKit light switch with a discounted price of $37.50 (originally $50)

Cupertino, August 1, 2023

Amazon is now offering the wired Eve HomeKit light switch for $37.46 shipped. Normally hitting $50, you're now looking at a 25% price cut and a new all-time low. This also clocks in at $2.50 below previous listings. This Eve Light Switch makes it cheaper to automate overhead lighting than having to change each individual bulb. This Eve Light Switch is installed directly into the wall. This allows it to control the lighting setup you already have, relying on Bluetooth or Thread to also eliminate the need for an extra hub. It connects to HomeKit, among other smart home platforms, and lets you turn the lights on or off with your voice, or by using automations. As for alternatives, there are hardly any other models on the market that use Thread. Although TP-Link has just launched its first-ever Matter offering that ditches the more recent connectivity and relies on the proven Wi-Fi support. It still connects to Siri, Alexa, and Assistant just by piggybacking on your router instead of a direct connection — all at a more affordable $25 price tag. While you can now see plenty of other smart home offerings in our guide will find, the savings today are actually just about one notable offer. Earlier in the year we saw the debut of the new Level Lock+, making a name for itself by being one of the first models on the market to support Apple Home Keys. That only makes the very first discount to $284 all the more appealing, offering some notable savings from the usual $329 price tag.

Eve Light Switch Features:

  • Eve Light Switch requires an iPhone or iPad with the latest version of iOS/iPadOS.
  • Turn your existing lamps into a smart lighting system and switch them on or off via the app, Siri or the light switch itself.
  • Store schedules on Eve Light Switch that put your lights on autopilot and turn them on or off independently of your iPhone and home network.
  • Set up scenes to simultaneously control other Apple HomeKit-enabled accessories at home or on the go, using HomePod, HomePod mini or Apple TV as your home hub.
