Amazon is now offering the Eve Door & Window with Matter for $39.95 shipped. This is lower than the usual $50 price tag after you clip the on-page coupon, saving you $10 for your first time. It's one of the few markdowns so far, but it also happens to be a new low at 25% off. This is also $2.50 below our previous listing.

The updated Eve Door and Window sensor is supported by new Thread and Matter connectivity to unlock the capabilities of your Siri smart home. By connecting all the automations of your HomeKit setup, you can use this sensor to automatically turn on lights when a door is opened, keep the air conditioning from turning on when a window is open, and countless other things.

Normally we'd recommend going for the original model which doesn't have Matter support, but it actually sells for the same price as the all-new version above. Those are retail prices for you, though, so in this rare case, going for the latest and greatest is actually the best value out there. Although you can just skip Eve altogether and go for the Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2, which is also equipped with Matter and sells for less. You'll be giving up the compact build of the model for sale above in favor of a much bulkier design, but that may well be worth it for a $27 price tag.
