Eve's newest HomeKit door and window sensor featuring Matter technology now priced at $40 (originally $50)

Cupertino, May 3, 2024

Amazon is currently offering the Eve Door & Window with Matter for $39.95 with free shipping. This is a 20% discount from the regular price of $50. It is the second best price we have seen and the lowest offer in months. While it has dropped to $36 once before, this is the lowest price otherwise.

The updated Eve Door and Window sensor now supports new Thread and Matter connectivity, allowing you to unlock the capabilities of your Siri smart home. By incorporating this sensor into your HomeKit setup, you can automate tasks such as turning on lights when a door is opened or preventing the air conditioning from turning on when a window is open.

Typically, we would recommend the original model without Matter support, but it is actually selling for the same price as the new version mentioned above. Retail prices can be unpredictable, so in this case, opting for the latest model may provide the best value.

Alternatively, you could opt for the Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2, which also supports Matter and is priced lower at $27. While it sacrifices the compact design of the previously mentioned model for a bulkier one, the cost savings may make it worthwhile.

The Eve Door and Window Sensors offer features such as viewing the open/closed status at a glance, creating automations with other connected devices, and monitoring time and duration stats through the Eve app for iOS. With Matter compatibility, you can easily monitor your home using smartphones and voice assistants from major platforms, alongside groundbreaking Thread network technology for a robust smart home.
