The home kit pays tribute to the 1922 FA Cup winning team from Huddersfield Town

The home kit from Huddersfield Town for the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season is available for pre-order now!

Players and supporters will "carry history" for the next campaign, as the kit pays homage to Herbert Chapman's 1922 FA Cup winning team. On April 22, 1922, Town defeated Preston North End at Stamford Bridge to win the trophy for the first time. and the only time in the history of the Club!

To honor that historic triumph 100 years ago, the Town 2021/22 kit was designed by Umbro to put a modern twist on the kit worn by that team.

The resemblance between the two kits is first noticed by the wide stripes and the stylized collar.

One of the biggest introductions to the 2021/22 kit is the inclusion of the Yorkshire tonal rose, placed directly between the Huddersfield Town ridge and the Umbro tonal logo. This pays homage to the Yorkshire rose worn on the shirt in the final!

The names of the FA Cup winners appear on the inside of the shirt, so fans and players carry history!

The three stars are also on the back of the shirt that honors the three-time city champions.

The shirt bears the logo of the main sponsor of the Town shirt, Utilita Energy, on the front and the SportsBroker logo on the back.

There is also a twist on home shirts this season! The shorts are white, just like those in the 1922 FA Cup final and include a tonal Huddersfield Town ridge and the Umbro logo. Both are tonal, because the shorts worn in the final were completely simple!

Finally, the socks at home are black for the 2021/22 campaign, with a white cuff at the top, with a blue circle running through it. Again, this is to reflect the kit worn 100 years ago.

The families of Ernie Islip, Billy Smith, who scored the winning goal and Clem Stephenson, were all invited to John Smith Stadium to see the new kit before launch and were photographed with it.
