I started using HomeKit and I have a lot of wemo devices. Most of my switches (all HomeKit compatible) migrated easily to Home. But I have one that always fails and is declared incompatible. It is parked right next to an identical one that works. They were installed together and configured together, but it is not appreciated by Home for some reason. (Works well in wemo application and has updated firmware). It has the QR code HomeKit, but that doesn’t work. I also manually entered the 8-digit HomeKit code. I did a bunch of hardware resets, turned off and on my hub and devices, logged in, and logged out of my Wemo and Home accounts. Do you have any idea why this switch doesn’t want to be added by Home, even if it’s in the wemo app and Home can see it as a device I want to add?
A single Homekit Wemo light switch from many is declared “Not Accepted”. Why?
