Adding Alexa accessories to your home / homebridge

Cupertino, August 11, 2020

I have an Amazon Echo which is my current home hub, controlling GE lights and some wifi light switches for automation. I'm trying to set up my homebridge so I can expose these accessories to the Apple Home app and control them from my iPhone / iPad. I can't figure out how to add these accessories because they are controlled by my Echo.

In the past, I worked using Wink, because this was my automation center. But since they went for a subscription-based model, I've since abandoned them and gone to Amazon. Does anyone have any information about how my devices are controlled by Alexa at my home address? I found the instructions on exposing homekit devices to Alexa, but I want to do the opposite.
