Adidas launches new home kit in Argentina for 2021

Cupertino, March 28, 2021

Argentina and adidas technical sponsors have finally unveiled the latest home kit for the 2020/21 season.

One year after its launch, adidas has now given up the latest threads to be worn by the Argentine men's and women's national junior and senior teams.

The decline was pushed back a year by the Covid-19 pandemic that swept the globe in 2020, shutting down the entire international equipment program.

Lionel Messi and co. will wear the new kit during future qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Copa America final in June.

The national team under 23 started on the field in a friendly international against Japan on Friday, the team also paying homage to the legends Diego Maradona, Alejandro Sabella and Leopoldo Jacinto Luque, who all passed in the last year.

The stripes on the shirt are embellished with a unique camouflage pattern, representing different regions of the country colored in different shades of blue.

The shorts to be worn remain the traditional colors completely black, with the three adidas stripes on the side.

Messi retired from international football after the final defeat of the 2016 American Cup in Chile, and later reversed his decision when Argentina started the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
