Hello. In the past, I've used Shairport on an RPI to make a poor Airplay-compatible speaker. However, once the Airplay 2 standard was released, I started using an Airport Express so that I could use the Airplay 2 protocol. I know that the biggest problem with making an Airplay 2 airport equivalent was waiting for the new protocol to be broken. In December 2019, I remember that there was news that the standard had been broken. However, so far I have found several posts asking about using an RPi with Airplay 2, but all are at least a year old. Is there an update to be able to run software on an RPi to be compatible with Airplay 2? If so, does anyone have a good guide to putting it into operation?
