Apple hoped to ship new "AirPods Pro Lite" products in the second quarter of 2020, according to a report by Apple DigiTimes which claims that production has been delayed now, probably due to coronavirus and its effect on the Apple supply chain.
I first heard about the new "AirPods Pro Lite" in a report last week who claimed that Apple has been preparing vendors in both Taiwan and China to prepare a range of future hardware, including new iPad, Apple Watch and iMac models.
No details were shared about the so-called "AirPods Pro Lite" or what features it could bring in comparison to the original AirPods.
Production of "AirPods Pro Lite", an entry-level version of Apple's "AirPods Pro" series, is unlikely to begin in the second quarter, as originally planned, according to industry sources.
Probably "AirPods Pro Lite" would be a third generation upgrade of entry-level AirPods that were last updated in March along with the launch of an updated upload case.
