'AirTags' may not launch until late 2020, tens of millions of units to be produced this year

Apple may not release its card-like physical item trackers until the end of 2020, suggests industry leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who claims that suppliers will produce tens of millions of units in the second or third quarter of this year. year.

In a note to investors, via 9to5Mac, Kuo expects Apple partners to expand their production of ultra-wide band "AirTags" during the second half of 2020.

Although no official release date for item trackers is known, the timeframe distributed by Kuo suggests that we will be able to see "AirTags" released alongside the iPhone 12 in September, with Apple set to hit the scene in June at WWDC 2020 to unveil the new hardware.
