Hi all! I would like to automatically activate a scene (which includes a lot of things, but most importantly unlocking the door) when I get home, but the location balloon is MUCH too big, so I’m looking for alternatives. I use HomeBridge so I can use a fake switch if needed. Here’s what I’ve rejected so far. “An Aqara button on the door was my first thought.” Something that tells me about a push if I’m not home and activates the scene when I’m home, but it occurred to me that I don’t know how to stop others from pushing it. – NFC on the door: if I have to remove the phone, I can manually activate the scene. – When connecting to WiFi: requires confirmation with the same issue as the NFC tag. False positives don’t bother me much with this, because I don’t turn my WiFi on / off many times at home. – Door sensor: unfortunately the door is made of metal that seems to be screwed with door / window sensors. I’m also not sure about the positive fakes and obviously can’t trigger an unlock by opening the door. – Connection to the garage door? I do not know this and the positive fakes. I thought I’d put the Aqara button in the garage so I could push it in the road, but I don’t have outlets to put another hub in there and I don’t park in the garage 100% of the time. Did anyone have any other ideas?
