I bought a GE AC in the early summer, I connected it to the HomeKit without any problems.
Since then, alternating current always appears as "cooling" (meaning on) even when it is turned off. Once on a blue moon, it will appear to be off, but 10 minutes later I will check it again and cooling will occur.
I tried a number of troubleshooting issues, including updating the firmware, repairing the HomeKit, completely resetting it, and they still have the same results.
I started not to let him bother me until I returned home yesterday to a cold house to realize that it works all weekend. So now I am very determined to find a solution so that I can have an accurate representation if the AC is turned off or on.
I know I could just add a smart plug, but I really shouldn't do it as I go the "extra mile" to make sure I have an AC HomeKit ...
I'm running iOS 14 beta and I'm not sure if this problem happens on a stable iOS 13 device ... post here to find out if anyone else has the same results. I reported the bug to Apple in the feedback app every beta, when I see that it's not fixed yet, but they don't seem to care.
