Another question about installing the Logitech Circle bell in the UK

Cupertino, October 23, 2021

Yes, I know there have already been a lot of posts about it, but none of them seem specific to my requirements. My heart is set on the Logitech Circle Doorbell and I will be visiting the US next month and I thought I might "insert" one back. But it is not compatible with my current wired bell. I have a bell with a transformer built into the hallway. So I have a 240V mains cable that goes out of the wall that goes directly into the bell, as well as the ring wire. As far as I know, the best solution would be to replace the current bell and get a surface mounted transformer and a new bell. I contacted the manufacturer of my current sound to get more information about its specifications and they pointed me in the direction of this [transformer](http://www.greenbrook.co.uk/bells-and-chimes-1-0a-bell-chime-transformer-256). He says it's a 4-8-12V 1A transformer. Now I'm a little rusty with my electronics, but does that mean the 12V wiring will give me about 12VA? And therefore, would it be appropriate for it to stick on the hallway wall next to my bell?
