I have a big wrong problem with HomeKit, who has had me on the phone for 7 hours in total, diagnostic reports, engineering looks at it ... and they have no idea what is wrong. I think that dates back to when, before the family split, I used my Apple ID on my and my wife's devices. Now that I've cleared all the devices and set it up on my own Apple ID, I can't get my share of my home. It works a little and supports her. I also get a & # 39; user account error & # 39; on my icon when I tap it in home settings. Sucks.
I have restarted a new home, resetting our phones, iPad, Apple TV to no avail. I even created a new Apple ID for my wife. Does not work. Which makes me think it's a mess in my Apple ID. It seems that the only solution is to start a new Apple ID. ... unless someone else has an idea? Apple also won't transfer my purchases. I asked if they would make this exception. No luck there.
The second idea that somebody once suggested was to create a new Apple ID, make it part of my family and then create HomeKit again using this new Apple ID ... that way I still had access to my purchases And maybe the new Apple ID would work.
I should note inviting my daughter to my current homework ... so it's another clue what is going on. Thoughts?
