I had a hard time justifying the decision to buy the HomePod or the Apple TV, as I know for sure I won't have a use for either except for its home hub capabilities. I have M2 iPad Pro but not sure if this is supported as a home hub as I read they removed support for it on the newer architecture. I have a 2012 Mac Mini that runs 24/7 for various things like Homebridge and more etc. It would be perfect if someone knew a way to turn it into a home hub for homekit as well, no matter how complicated the process is.
