Anyone successful using tape connectors on the Eve Light Strip?

Cupertino, February 14, 2021

I have an Eve Light Strip that I use under some kitchen cabinets and I was very happy with it. I want to add another under the cabinets to the left and right of my stove. Instead of buying two more, I'm thinking of using a strip, then cutting it in half (using the proper technique, of course, where along the strip you can do it and how) and an LED strip connector kit, so so that the lights are under the cabinets and not over the stove / exhaust fan. Has anyone done this successfully and still retains the full HomeKit functionality of Eve Light Strip?
