Apple brings free Developer Program membership to eligible organizations in new countries

Cupertino, February 4, 2020

Apple has expanded its membership of the Developer Program for free to eligible organizations in eight new countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Mexico and South Korea.

The scheme allows nonprofits, accredited educational institutions and government entities to apply to receive a free developer program membership, to allow them to distribute applications on the App Store without Apple's $ 79 annual membership fee to regular developers.

Until now, the free access program was limited to the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Japan and Brazil.

Organizations interested in learning more can do so at developer.apple.com.
