Apple extends the return period after closing the Apple store

Apple has changed its return policy for purchases that were made in-store before The global closures of the Apple Store were released on Friday, saying that customers will be given up to 14 days from the reopening of its stores to return the products in accordance with the sales and refund policy.

Following the temporary closures of retail stores, Apple shared a new page on Apple.com that answers some common questions, such as how to recover a device that is currently in repair, how to reschedule a canceled meeting for Genius, and more.

By March 27, all 464 Apple stores outside Greater China will be closed. Apple recommends customers seeking support to use Apple's online support channels and encourages purchases from Apple.com.

Apple notes that contracted iPhone in the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia and carrier-funded devices in the United States are excluded from the expanded return window.
