Apple / Google / Amazon development

Cupertino, July 9, 2020

As we all know, the big three work to a unified standard for smart devices at home ... I just had a thought / question and wanted to see if anyone knew any information about it and if not, thoughts / predictions . Obviously, Apple prides itself on privacy, especially HomeKit, and in addition to integrating with their ecosystem, this is obviously appealing to many. When this "new standard" is over, do we know if there will be a "HomeKit" part of things that are more focused on privacy? Or, it will just be "here's the new standard, take it as it is." I think it's hard for me to get the right words to explain my question without going into a long post, but does anyone know any information about that?

I apologize if it's a stupid question.
