Apple has again said it will reduce production of the iPhone 12 mini due to low demand

Apple is said to be reducing production of the iPhone 12 mini again due to reduced demand for the 5.4-inch device, with a new report from Nikkei claiming that the target output for the device changed to 75 million iPhone units in the first half of 2021, down 20% from December 2020.

The iPhone 12 mini is said to account for only 5% of total iPhone 12 sales in the first half of January in the US, with several reports indicating Apple is reassigning iPhone 12 mini components to iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The iPhone 12 mini has often been mentioned as the least popular model in the iPhone 12 series the device being the only model of iPhone 12 that does not enter the list of the top 10 smartphones activated on Christmas day in the United States in 2020.

Despite its unpopularity, the 5.4-inch iPhone is said to live, with reports claiming that Apple will launch an “iPhone 13 mini” later this year.
