Apple HomeKit integration with Ecobee3 Lite

Cupertino, December 22, 2021

I have two Ecobee3 Lite thermostats. One of them was associated with HomeKit on the first try. The second thermostat refuses to be located by the HomeKit. The only thing I tried was to restart the device running the Home app (an iPhone 13 running iOS 15.2) and disconnect / reconnect the thermostat to the wall. In addition to the factory reset of the thermostat, do I have other options? I avoid factory reset unless it is a last resort because I have two thermostats and I was told by HVAC technology that all settings should fit on both devices to avoid problems). (I'll post this in the r / ecobee sub as well).
