Apple has released tvOS 15.1.1 to the public without specific release notes, other than fixing common bugs and security updates.

The tvOS 15.1.1 update will be installed automatically, but can be installed manually via the Settings application. Apple normally updates tvOS with other operating systems, but has only updated tvOS in this case.

There are no release notes specific to this release. The version number is 19J581, replacing 19B74.

In October, Apple released tvOS 15.1, which introduced SharePlay to the public and added a handful of new screensavers. ShrePlay, which Apple announced during WWDC 2021, allows users to watch video with others during a FaceTime call.

When tvOS 15 was released in September, it added a number of features, including space audio support for those using AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. It also added a new HomeKit feature, allowing users to view HomeKit-compatible security cameras in a grid view.
