IMO HomeKit is great if and only if it works reliably. 2019/2020 We were suffering from an unstable HomeKit user experience due to various router settings that caused the well-known "Accessory not responding" / "Home Hub not responding" / "HomeKit cannot be controlled" from outside our homes. My partner constantly blamed me, because every few days the system didn't work - contrary to what I had promised him (and me). It was really frustrating ... Therefore, Apple should come up with a simple app for iOS and MacOS test accessories, which analyzes the typical culprits in the router's settings. Similar to the MacOS WiFi Analyzing application, I would appreciate a similar sth for HomeKit. Why? Even for me, as a tech-savvy guy, it took centuries to solve all the problems with my configuration - I can't imagine a normal user could solve problems like this. I would rather give up and throw everything away, but I give HK another chance ... Therefore, Apple has to act on this! What is your opinion on this? If we have a relevant number of people, I could address the friendly friends at 9to5Mac (they have already supported me some time before with an Apple Photos issue) ... Regards, Joachim
