Apple TV issue (not activated unless disconnected / connected)

Cupertino, April 7, 2020

I recently purchased an Apple TV device and it seems that the device falls asleep or turns off, and when I try to use it the next day or so, I press the power button or menu on the remote control, but it never seems to wake up or catch. I have to get up and unplug the power cord and plug it back in, then - it's off. Does anyone else have a problem like this before?

I also have a homepod and Apple TV now, is there a way to make sure the two are not the main hub location, if that will cause problems?
