I bought two Aqara G3 Hub cameras and set them up in my home. Everything works flawlessly, I love them.
One thing I would like to be able to do is send the camera to preset views, multiple times a day (like, maybe once every 2 hours during the day). While the Aqara app allows you to set them up in a mode where the camera is scanning from one extreme to the other, this feature is not available in HomeKit. And I don’t think the motors in those cameras are really meant for continuous motion from one end to the other…..
So what I would like to do is:
1) Program preset views in the Aqara app (done, I set up 2-3 views of interest per camera).
2) Have a HomeKit automation tell the camera to go to set point #1 at a certain time, stay there for 30 seconds then back to its center view.
3) Have a HomeKit automation tell the camera to go to set point #2 at a certain time, stay there for 30 seconds, then back to its center view.
4)….repeat for all set points, but stay centered for 90% of the time.
Has anyone ever done something like this? I’ve been Googling trying to see but so far have come up empty…
