I posted similar message over r/Aqara but didn't get very far. I hope someone here in the r/HomeKit might have some insight.
My goal is to use Aqara GH2 in HomeKit only and do not want to have it in Aqara App (using an account with them). I tried to add GH2 using Apple Home App but couldn't . I also tried to use Aqara App "HomeKit" mode, where I don't have to sign in and just add GH2. That did not work either. I was using 2.4GHz WiFi on my Phone and the camera was about 5 feet away from the router. I reset the camera several times as well, but no luck.
For those who have Aqara GH2 camera, I'd like to know how did you get it to Home App? Did you have to go through Aqara App first, then bind it to Home Kit? I have several Eufy cam in HomeKit mode only using the same 2.4GHz WiFi and they're working fine.
