Are Hue and Home apps fighting each other?

Cupertino, December 20, 2021

I have a problem with HomeKit, which I hope the community can help me with. Currently, I have an extensive Hue lighting configuration around the house and I control it primarily through the Home app and it didn't bother me. Outside I have two colored light bulbs that I want to make one red and one green until after Christmas. Whatever they do, the lights return to a normal light color within 15 seconds of making the changes. Although I haven't delved so deeply into the problem, it seems clear that the Hue and Home app is struggling to some extent. Does anyone know what I can do to keep the colors glued together until I choose to change them back? I don't want to mess with this every day, I just want to turn on the lights and be red and green until I tell them to stop. Do you have any ideas about where to look or what settings to turn off to keep them from fighting?
