Are you moving home with built-in speakers, tips for controlling Siri?

Cupertino, October 13, 2020

Ideally, I want a native Siri / HomeKit experience that uses existing speakers throughout the new home.

It would have been great if the mini homepod had launched today with an auxiliary port.

Previous owners use Sonos, which I have never used. I think they'll leave Sonos, but I'm not sure what model it is. It might be a decent setup, but I'm curious what my options are.

I currently have an Alexa point connected to a large Bluetooth speaker for my main level and a homepod in my office. I will make a transition with a bunch of Philips Hue bulbs and other HomeKit accessories.

I have Spotify and Apple Music (I've been in transition for a while) and I usually use Alexa to make requests, but sometimes my phone or Apple Watch.

I would like to get rid of Alexa for privacy reasons, but the auxiliary port and the BT connection are so convenient.

Thoughts?
