My fiancé and I just moved into our first house, before I started using HomeKit, I bought things with a ring and bought 2 standard ring bulbs and then 1 reflector for the top of the front door. We debated replacing them with Phillips Hue for direct compatibility with HomeKit. I have the ring currently configured to activate all the smart lights in front when the motion is detected and it works very well. I would like the other ringed things to work with HomeKit. I was thinking of installing HomeBridge, but I saw the ring move to end-to-end encryption, which means it probably won't work too long? We currently have Phillips Hue and bridge / dimmer lights. I'm looking to buy Lutron Castra switches to control all my fans and lights (slowly replace vs a whole gut / replace). I'm fine with having to have a bridge on site. (The area Lutron would use, not with Phillips bulbs) or would it be better to get more bulbs and keep the old-fashioned switches? Are there other good items to buy for HomeKit? We recently bought a VOCO powerstrip for above our cabinets and it works amazingly! Thank you very much! :)
