Arlo has released an update to its iOS app that fixes a bug that prevented users from adding their smart devices to the HomeKit platform.

The company has confirmed AppleInsider that its latest iOS app update, version 3.5.1, contains a fix. This version, which has a release date on August 6, is currently available from the App Store.

"Arlo appreciates the patience of our loyal customers and is pleased to share that a version of iOS with a HomeKit fix is now available," the company said.

In early August, AppleInsider began receiving reports from users about issues with adding new Arlo devices to the HomeKit. The issue appears to affect HomeKit tokens, which has caused users to get stuck on the "Request HomeKit Information" screen when adding devices to the Apple smart home platform.

Users who have enabled automatic application updates should see the fix within a few days. For all other users, version 3.5.1 of the Arlo app is currently available for download from the App Store.

In a forum post on August 6, an Arlo moderator said that users who continue to have trouble adding devices to the HomeKit should contact the company for a HomeKit token reset.
