In the new episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast, your hosts briefly discuss the HomeKit issue that affected new Arlo users before moving on to more questions.

Last week, Arlo was interrupted with its HomeKit setup process, preventing new users from adding Arlo cameras to the HomeKit. Fortunately, Arlo has introduced an update to its application that has solved all the problems.

We also reviewed the new Meross smart plug, which, in addition to including HomeKit support, is also incredibly economical.

Before we get into our listener's questions, let's discuss the difference between motion sensors and presence sensors.

Llistener Questions

As always, I had quite a lot of listener feedback this week.

Christofer Ericson sent us an audio clip to give us the authentic Swedish way to pronounce the new HomeKit equipment from Ikea, including the Tradfri hub and the Starkvind air purifier.

Nick Teague initially wrote with a question about why his location-based automation didn't work after his move, but he went on to inform us that disconnecting from iCloud, then back, solved the problem.

Derek also wanted to know if HomeKit worked with VPNs because it had issues while ProtonVPN was running. Another Derrick wanted to see if it was possible to run multiple HomeKit video ringtones.
