I have a fairly minimalist wall TV on the main floor with a Fire Stick attached to it. I also have a few Airport Express speakers on my main floor. I wish I could push the sound from the TV to the Airplay speakers. The problem I have is that this seems to be a workflow that doesn’t seem possible. Airport Express wants the sound to be sent to it, not to be sent in line, and because the 3.5mm jack is just line, this doesn’t work. And since the Fire Stick is an Amazon device, it doesn’t really want to play nice with Airplay. I recently read that Roku devices can do Airplay 2, but I’m not sure this takes me any further, as all the mentions about functionality are to push on the device, not to push the sound out. Is this possible concept I’m talking about or am I just getting angry in the wind here?
Audio output from Fire Stick to Airport Express speakers?
