August WiFi Smart Lock vs Level Bolt Lock

Cupertino, April 7, 2024

So I'm looking to make a smart lock for my front door, however I can't change the existing house keys we have. I've been looking at the August WiFi lock to bypass the latch on the inside of the door, but I've seen reviews saying the battery life is horrible and it's not reliable. On the other hand, I have seen that for the level screw lock, installation can be a problem due to the round design of the screw and that it does not accept the home key. Additionally, I have seen unlocking take a long time. So my question is, does anyone have experience with both? And if so, which one do you prefer?
