AugustKit Wi-Fi smart lock issues

I just bought 2 smart Wi-Fi padlocks from August 2nd, because they seemed the right solution for me. However, after two days of troubleshooting, I still can’t get any to connect to the HomeKit.

I tried to connect to the HomeKit through the August application, directly through the Home application, pressing the red button on the back for 5 seconds, restarting my phone, restarting my HomePod, uninstalling / reinstalling the August application on my phone.

Usually, I’m quite competent with technology like this, am I missing something obvious? Or did I make a mistake going with August?
