Automatically refresh your device status in the Home app?

Cupertino, January 19, 2020

I have an iPad Mini 2 that I use as a control panel with my Homekit stuff. It's set to never 'sleep', so it's just the home application open all the time. Sometimes, when a device becomes lazy, it does not report its condition and omekit says "no response".

A quick open / close application refreshes all devices and is all good again, but I would like to prevent this need. Is there a way (either by setting or automation) to automatically refresh my device status?

Part 2: Does Home + 4 offer this functionality and is it worth $ 15 for what looks like a home skin?
