The aunt must be alerted when Grandma gets out of bed in the middle of the night. My aunt's CPAP device means she's sleeping through the baby monitor, which would otherwise do the trick, so we look at smart home solutions. ** My idea - ** create an automation using an indoor HomeKit room in grandma's room that will light a smart light bulb in your aunt's room * only * if it detects movement between the bed and the door, * not * if grandma just throws in the bed. Can anyone confirm if this is possible? Can't be triggered by movement in bed - just movement in the rest of the room. If this is not possible, are there any other ideas? We don't want to use a door sensor, because that doesn't alert my aunt in situations where grandma falls out of bed without reaching the door.
