When you set up an automation on a switch, will the automation only work if you turn on the switch in your home application? My example: the switch of the Zemismart single gang 3 device connected through the homebridge. Leviton Smart Plug. We set that when one of the specific devices on the switch is turned on, it turns on the smart plug ... same for shutting down. However, this only works in the application and not when the physical switch is pressed. Is this a limitation in HomeKit or is it more likely because I'm connecting to an unapproved switch?
