Automation related to humidity, looking for advice

Cupertino, January 7, 2024

Hi, I have a simple problem - I would like to turn my humidifier on/off based on the current humidity - me and everyone else right? Right. For some galactic reason, this is incredibly challenging in HomeKit. I have 2 automations: \- turn off when above 55% \- turn on when below 50% My sensor (QingPing Air Lite) is connected all the time, but this amazingly simple automation fails most of the time. Instead I'd like to switch to an hourly check (run every hour, check current humidity, need to do w/e) - what app could I use to do that as Apple in their infinite wisdom doesn't allow us let's run nothing on an hourly :) I tried to get Controller and Eve to run hourly, but they are only allowed to run scenes (scenes can't check what the current humidity is), they don't handle accessories/shortcuts. I have Home Bridge with dummy / range and magic occupancy running. Thanks for any help...
