Automations to avoid or completely avoid pressing manual smart switches

Cupertino, March 25, 2024

How many of you have a set of bulletproof automations with motion/vibration sensors so the smart switches don't get pressed? Example: automatically turn on the stair light as they approach it, given the time of day, light exposure, etc., then turn it off by itself (perhaps after a while, or when a vibration sensor at the top of the stairs is triggered) ? I want seamless integration into my home where I just walk in and let the lights turn on and off by themselves given some strict parameters
