He is also keen to read how the wind blows, has invested in the system and constantly redesigned it, while signing key partnerships and collaborations to be on par with Alexa Amazon and Google Home.
Well, it definitely works - HomeKit is as good as it has ever been and it can handle any tasks, requests and routines you may want to challenge.

Smart lighting - Philips Hue

One of the most immediate ways to feel like your home has become smarter is to inject it with some smart bulbs. By changing the existing bulbs for smart equivalents, you will be able to set up routines, opt for funky color combinations and truly personalize your space.
Philips Hue is the choice of the package from the intelligent lighting space. It has always been and is constantly improving its systems and offers and, of course, it is fully compatible with HomeKit. If you get a Hue bridge that acts as a hub for your bulbs, you will be able to control them via Siri and free yourself of any need to touch a light switch again.
Smart Plug - Ikea Smart Plug
Lighting is one thing, but you are unlikely to try to replace every single appliance in your home to replace them with more expensive and smarter versions. Fortunately, smart jacks are more common than ever before, to help you do what was once distinctly different.
Our favorite smart plug is Ikea - like many of the Swedish giant's products, at a reasonable and simple price. By using a bridge to connect the various jacks to HomeKit, you will then gain total control over any electronics you use. This means that you can turn on the coffee machine without leaving the bed, set the fan going in a heat wave, or heat an electric blanket if it is the middle. The world will be yours.
Security camera - Arlo Pro 2

Whether you want to keep an eye on the inside of your home, or watch over the front yard, yard or anywhere else, another great face of modern smart home settings is the ability to do so using video cameras. Remote.
HomeKit integration has not spread to the entire market yet, but Arlo has updated its camera firmware to include the feature, which is a welcome addition. Arlo Pro 2 is an excellent camera that is no longer the top version of the Arlo, but is reasonably priced and affordable. It is easy to install and will act as a great deterrent against looters. In addition, you will have a quiet safety blanket whenever you need to.
Smart button - Eve button
As you complete your home with more connected technology, and the Home app becomes more and more full of options, you may find that physical buttons and switches start to have a nostalgia ring to them - the good days.
Fortunately, there are plenty of smart buttons out there to help you intelligently control your home and in custom ways. Our choice of bouquet is the Eve button, which has complete HomeKit connectivity. Better than a normal switch, you can actually have three commands mapped to each button - one for double tap, one for double tap and one third for long press.
Smart Thermostat - Tado Smart Thermostat

Another essential button in any smart home that runs smoothly is heating. If you can connect heating to a smart system, you will immediately gain a massive degree of control over the operation of your apartment or house, and this control can easily translate into savings on your bills.
One of our favorite smart thermostats is from Tado and is fully compatible with HomeKit. It's a neat, easy-to-use system that gives you control over how your home works and allows you to make sure it's at the ideal temperature when you want it to be. In addition, the newest version, V3 +, also brings air quality measurements into the mix.
Smart Lock - August Smart Lock Pro
Another way to maximize the feeling of living more futuristic than others is to get a smart lock - a lock that allows you to escape the days of losing your keys and being locked up. Heck, you'll probably end up with no keys.
We like August's Smart Lock Pro, because it's a simple, straightforward example of the best pieces of smart lock. It's easy to set up and actually lets you lock it to look normal from the outside, allowing you to continue using the existing keys if useful. With a pair sensor, however, you will also be able to tell when the door is open or unlocked and of course you will be able to unlock it automatically when you are close, to allow quick and easy return home. It also supports all Alexa, Google Assistant and HomeKit, which is a rarity.
Multi-room sound: Sonos

The cherry on the cake, as far as your connected home goes, could be good music. The feeling of walking around your house, hearing a beautifully reproduced sound around you, regardless of the room, is quite unparalleled. Not to mention when you expand into different playlists for different spaces, if you're hosting a party, or if you can only use the speakers you want.
For our money, Sonos runs the multi-room sound field. Its system is simple, but its speakers are all fabulous. It's not cheap, but once you have more of their devices in the game, you will win. Whether it's a surround sound TV that doubles as a quality sound or a kitchen sound system that can help you relax, Sonos is the winner for any smart home.
