Best Buy cancels new HomePod Mini orders for "exceeding order quantity limits" if you place multiple music subscription orders, probably package

Cupertino, November 19, 2020

One of the HomePod Mini was defective on arrival and returns to Apple. So I went to BBY to place an order because it showed next day delivery on my zip. When I left, I noticed that I had left it at the "pick-up at the store", which was not available until next week.

I placed a second order for delivery, thinking that I would only receive two from them, not much, I have many places to use them. He placed the second delivery order.

Half an hour later I received an email from both orders canceling, both saying

> Unfortunately, we had to cancel your order because it exceeded the orderable quantity limits. Please consult [Conditions of Use](https://click.emailinfo2.bestbuy.com/?qs=d2bc95c4336335a3079eb3969d1397fe598c1ec68ed31d983534eb55e20b77bde9597fd186513ef66e1466ef8aac2ab276734f6cbb998255), what the limits and the quantity explain.

No two HomePods seem to exceed the order quantity. And the connection with the conditions of use is quite general, because they can cancel orders if you exceed the limits.

The best guess here is that the problem is the HomePod Mini package from Best Buy with free Apple Music and Apple News. The only thing I can believe is that they see that both orders are from the same person and you can't get two free subscriptions, so cancel the order.

It will be problematic for anyone placing an order for a second unit after a first unit.

Warning emptor.
