Brilliant has already incorporated HomeKit into its smart wall panels, which appeared at CES 2020 in January of that year. Smart connector and wall switch updates, through a firmware update, ensure the promised full implementation.
The newly activated functionality allows users to control the plug and switch through the HomeKit using the Home application. Hardware can be added to user-set automations in the HomeKit.
Wall switch exception
An exception to the new HomeKit functionality is the wall-mounted switch motion sensor, which is located above the switch. It can be used to turn the lights on or off depending on whether or not someone is in the room. However, it is not yet integrated with HomeKit, according to a report from AppleInsider.
The switch also has a color adjustment function and works with a variety of smart bulbs from different manufacturers.
Smart plug
The Brilliant smart plug is similar to other smart plugs in a fairly crowded market. It has a round façade and a physical power button on the side. Can be used in conjunction with smart wall panels and the motion sensor on the Brilliant wall switch.
Where to buy
You can find Brilliant Smart Home Plug on Amazon for $ 29.99. The Dimmer Brilliant smart switch, available in white, black, gray and light almond, costs $ 69.97.
