I'm thinking of switching from a Zwave configuration that I used with opensource to switch from HomeKit to a pure HomeKit configuration. I've seen some HomeKit hardware that talks about being hubless, but isn't it the idea that someone is using an AppleTV or HomePod to act as a hub? Why would I want Hubless, because I assume this means I have to run certain applications for certain brands of switches / sensors? Isn't it the exact opposite of HomeKit (one place to control it all)?
