Can anyone successfully control their U by Moen Shower?

Cupertino, December 22, 2021

The TL; DR U by Moen shower appears as a faucet, which means I can't automate or control it with Siri, which Moen claims to accept. How to fix it? King's version: We are nearing the completion of the remodeling of our main bathroom, which included the installation of a U by Moen shower system. I set it up as described, but despite Moen claiming that it can be controlled by Siri, I found only one piece of evidence that shows: [this Reddit post](https://www.homekit.blog.com/r/HomeKit/comments/nd6y6t/u_by_moen_very_happy_so_far_with_this_outdoor/) As you can see in the video, OP has set up a scene or shortcut called Make It Rain that starts the shower. I, on the other hand, can't add the shower to any scene, I can't automate it with other accessories or change other accessories when its condition changes. In addition, Siri can't find it on my HomePods (OG or Mini) or on my iPhone / watch. "I'm sorry, I didn't find anything like this in your house." Basically, they treat it like a faucet, instead of a shower. Literally, all I can do is use the Home app user interface to turn it on and off and change the temperature as a kind of glorified remote control. Given how expensive this is and that it is now installed inside my walls, I will be very disappointed if their claims about Siri support are wrong. Does anyone have any tips?
