Can I turn off an electrical outlet n minutes after it turns on without using a scene?

Cupertino, November 4, 2019

Hello everyone,

I will turn off a power outlet 90 minutes after it turns on. This must be done, whether it is switched on as part of an automation, in response to a direct command, or manually (when someone presses the button on the socket). I know I could do it this way:

``
When: Output Power Mode == On
Conditions: none
Do: Run the "power off delay" stage that turns on the power socket and has the "off accessory" setting set to 90 minutes
``

What I'm curious about is whether I can do this at all without a scene. I hate making scenes that control an accessory as they just mess up the list. I thought I could do this pretty easily using Home +:

``
When: outlet for outlet == on
Conditions: none
Do: Turn on the power outlet
Undo hours: 90 minutes
``

When you spend 20 seconds as a test timer, this will not work. I'm not sure how else to do it. Does this fail because the "undo" command does not turn on the power, but rather asks the outlet to return to the state it was in before the automation operations ran?

Again, yes, a scene should do just fine. I wonder if I can handle it without a scene or a shortcut, though. Some ideas?
